WINGED-FOOT SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARD
Applications for the Winged-Foot Scholar-Athlete Award are available now in the activities office. The minimum qualifications include: senior class member of high moral character, cumulative un-weighted GPA of at least 3.0 and a varsity letter in at least two sports. Completed applications, along with the required letters of recommendation, are due in the activities office no later than Friday, April 10th, 2015.
GEORGE B. PITTMAN AND JOHN R. WOODRUFF AWARDS
Applications for the George B. Pittman and John R. Woodruff Awards are now available in the activities office. Minimum qualifications include: junior or senior class member and a varsity letter in at least two sports. Applicants will be evaluated primarily on the basis of their achievements in athletics; however academics and leadership are also important criteria. Completed applications, along with the required letters of recommendation, are due in the activities office no later than Friday, April 10th, 2015.
NHS STUDENT ATHLETE SIGNS NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT
|Naples High School senior Ellie Rushing has committed to playing softball for Coach Michelle Frew at Rollins College, in Winter Park, Florida. Rollins is a NCAA Division II school that plays in the Sunshine State Conference. Ellie is a four-year letter winner in softball at NHS as well as president of the Naples High School Student Government Association (SGA).|
FHSAA RELEASES WINTER SPORTS ACADEMIC TEAM RANKINGS
The FHSAA Academic Team Champions for the winter sports season have been announced. School teams are ranked based on varsity team cumulative un-weighted grade point averages. Naples HS teams, as usual, compared very favorably to other schools in our classifications:
|Boys’ Basketball||10th out of 87 schools in Class 6A|
|Girls’ Basketball||3rd out of 85 schools in Class 6A|
|Boys’ Soccer||8th out of 107 schools in Class 3A|
|Girls’ Soccer||17th out of 107 schools in Class 3A|

EAGLES' ALL-SPORT BOOSTER CLUB'S - 21ST ANNUAL $10,000.00 CASH GIVE-AWAY
The Naples High School Eagles’ All-Sports Boosters proudly announce that their 21st annual $10,000.00 Cash Give-Away is now underway! As in past years, for a $100 donation you will receive one chance out of only two hundred to win $10,000.00… that’s right: Only 200 tickets will be made available and you need not be present to win! This year’s reverse drawing will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Naples High School cafeteria. Refreshments will be served. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit ALL sports at Naples High School.

CCPS SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM
The 2015 CCPS Summer Driver Education Program will be available again this summer. All Naples Classroom/Driving Instruction will take place at Gulf Coast High School and approximately 90-136 student slots are available for the Summer Program. SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION
Attention All NHS Male Students! If you are a male ages 18 through 25 and living in the U.S., then you must register with Selective Service within 30 days of your 18th birthday. It’s the LAW. You may go online (www.sss.gov.gov) or register at any post office and you do not need a social security number. Failure to register means you may be denied benefits such as scholarships and other awards. For more information, please click HERE.
Naviance is the method by which NHS submits transcripts and honor requests, informs seniors/juniors about upcoming college visits and scholarship applications. You must have a password. Please come down to the Counseling Office during lunch and after school to get this information and to learn more about Naviance.
